Egencia launches Connect Community to support travel managers
Egencia supports travel managers across the globe with enhanced Egencia Connect Community and new corporate travel management training
Newly enhanced Egencia Connect Community provides invaluable support to travel managers giving them access to programme guidance, peer-to-peer networking, topical discussions along with expert knowledge and global travel alerts
Seattle, Wash., 8 September 2020 – Today, Egencia® launches an advanced Egencia Connect Community. Through knowledge sharing, best-practice resources and education programmes, Egencia is helping equip travel managers to lead their organisation through the significant shifts in business travel due to COVID-19.
Travel managers increasingly play a critical role in shaping the approach and culture of their corporate travel programmes. More than ever, they need support from trusted partners who can bring the very latest information, knowledge and thinking to help inform a number of critical short and longer-term decisions.
‘2020 has fundamentally changed the travel manager’s role and scope. While cost and the traveller experience are still essential to corporate travel programmes, business travel is now a more far-reaching challenge with new expectations that push the travel manager to prepare, plan, co-ordinate and constantly monitor progress. I think it’s fair to say travel management has been elevated to a level of strategic importance for most companies,’ said Mark Hollyhead, President, Egencia.
‘Partnering with the travel manager community and paving the way through this uncertain time is paramount. With the Connect Community and Corporate Travel Management training as key steps, Egencia is committed to helping travel managers meet the challenges ahead’.
Egencia Connect Community
The Egencia Connect Community has been helping travel managers collaborate with one another, share best practice and provide feedback on Egencia innovations since 2017. With the new advanced community, Egencia customers can now ask questions to Egencia directly, query the Egencia knowledge base, engage in topical discussions and join product pilot programmes. Guest travel managers are also welcome to engage in learning topics and will soon be able to access peer-to-peer networking and global travel alerts.
The Egencia Connect Community is available in English with dedicated discussion groups in both French and German. The Corporate Travel Management training is available from today.
